A CMS was designed to make the job of web designers easier. However, as web designers, we realized that customers grew more aware of how websites work and in time they had enough knowledge to create simple HTML sites themselves.
Let’s face it. The world has gone cyber. Having a business and not taking the time to create an online world for it will only be detrimental to your company. In the very least, every business should have a website. This way, loyal customers have a way to follow your business online. Now if you want you want to expand your business online past the loyal customers and appeal to an audience that would appreciate your product, but just don’t know it yet, it’s time to invest in internet marketing.
This week we listened to a Ted talk that was given by Amy Cuddy who explained the significance of practicing power poses for success. As I listened to talk, I realized that we got it all wrong. We go into a job interview thinking, “Is my resume good enough?” or “I have to make sure to talk about that other job.” And what we should really be thinking is “I already have the job.”
There is much talk about responsive web design: what it is and why it should matter. Every day, there are more users with smartphones using the internet. In fact, “55% of American adults have a smartphone and 63% of cell internet users go online mostly using their phones, and not using some other device such as a desktop or laptop computer” (PewResearch Internet Project).
